Jason Worthley Oh man, what a long day! Practically 11 hours standing by the front barricade so we can be frontside for Korn. Typically I hate going to "Fest's" because I hate to be confined to the venue ALL day and paying their outrages prices...so, I just starved myself all day. No biggy. The bands were great. I love checking out new bands. Joint Damage was one of my faves and coincidently ran into one of the singer's(Justin) on the floor and shook his hand. I know they love hearing from the fans. Jen and I ended up right next to another young couple at the barricade who just happened to be from the same area, and HE works security with a guy I work with. :) Small world. Him and I spent half the Korn set with our hands locked tightly on the rail on each side of our women and our feet braced on it as well leaning back against the constant waves and weight of the over-excited crowd. Korn was great...but why don't they play Faget anymore? :( Rock On! Fest Dec 04, 2023
Jason Worthley Holy shit!!! From beginning of Korn's set till the end it was flat out moshing and jumping around. It was GREAT!!! Mostly played their old hits too. 2 Cents got the place pumped. They were heavy, the drummer sang at first then a new drummer took over and he just sang. It was my second time seeing Prospect Hill (the first being Meadowbrook last year at the Rock On! Fest with Korn). These guys are really good, I'm surprised you don't hear more from them. Korn had a local band open for them on each leg of the tour. Great idea.  Jason Worthley What an experience!! Made a last-minute decision on Friday, and headed out on our way, not expecting to get in. We were going to scope it out then go down to NYC. When we got there, we were met with a roadblock into Saugerties and you needed either proof that you lived within the boundaries, or a concert ticket. We had neither. We paid a guy 10 bucks to park at his house 2 miles up the road (he gave us a ride back to the checkpoint), then paid another guy in a pickup truck $5 to drive us in to the front gate so we didn't have to wait for busses. That was 8 miles in. When we go in, much to our surprise, we found a break in the fence and walked through it and low and behold...we were in! Free! We only stayed for the one full day which was the best day in my opinion. And as we were taking the long road (11 miles) back to the car, we heard the final band, which was Aerosmith, playing. Had I been more into my concerts back then, I would have stayed for at least a few songs so I could say I'd seen them. Woodstock 94' - Day 2 Dec 04, 2023

Black Reacher Certain General were really good friends with Band of Outsiders, another great No Wave act. They played all over downtown New York, together and separately. CBGB's, Pyramid, just everywhere. They did an EP together. One amazing night they did a joint show at Danceteria, probably 1983. It was stunning! BOO did their set, then Certain General. For the last song they all played together. A tidal wave of sound. I'll never forget that show. Ever. Certain General Dec 04, 2023
Black Reacher Billy Bragg also did a 4-5 night rooftop stint at the Danceteria in New York in '84 or '85. Not listed here. I went most nights. I think it was the night Alien Sex Fiend was downstairs doing their thing. I always liked him. His politics. And his hopefulness. Then and now. Billy Bragg Dec 04, 2023
