Bobby 'Cully Red' Cullinen if you are in any kind of a down mood, these guys will bring you out of it from the very first song! English Beat Nov 19, 2023
Bobby 'Cully Red' Cullinen additional comment: people hated Kris Kristofferson's set....he sang out of tune....he was probably drunk by the way he spoke in between songs.....he really sucked!!! Bridge School Benefit Nov 19, 2023
Bobby 'Cully Red' Cullinen So, this was the first time Buffalo Springfield had played together since their break-up in 1968...it was historic, but the chemistry just wasn't there! Also, a strange thing occurred during Billy Idol's set...all the SF Giants fans were checking the live score of the Giants/ Phillies game in high hopes of the Giants going to their first World Series in 50 years.....then, it happened....the Giants beat the Phillies...everyone erupted in screams at Shoreline and Billy Idol thought we were just showing exaggerated appreciation for his songs.....Giants went on to win the World Series and 2 more after that in five years!  Bobby 'Cully Red' Cullinen Ms. Spalding shared her most recent album, Radio Music Society....great mix of R&B/ Jazz genres. I do remember that Esperanza chastised a member of the audience who was overly boisterous ....she stopped the concert and told this guy to treat this music and venue with some respect, not like a Guns & Roses concert Esperanza Spalding Nov 19, 2023
Bobby 'Cully Red' Cullinen Outstanding band....top notch musicians backing up the one and only Diana Krall.......smooth and silky vocals with intuitive jazz piano Diana Krall Nov 19, 2023
Jonathan Sager Seeing both 3PM and 7:30PM shows this day Trans-Siberian Orchestra Nov 19, 2023
Bobby 'Cully Red' Cullinen If you like wonderful jazz vocal arrangements, this was the perfect concert for you. These two groups pretty much define the best of vocal jazz. Nothing but big smiles from the performers and audience on this night! The Manhattan Transfer / Take 6 Nov 19, 2023
Bobby 'Cully Red' Cullinen The Pat Metheny Group played like a well oiled machine...a perfect sonorous blend of jazz fusion . The solos of Metheny and partner Lyle Mays were riveting!..At this particular concert, I walked down a side aisle to thank Pat Metheny for his treasure of music. He was engaged with an up and coming young guitarist named Julian Lage, who came to see one of his guitar heroes. It looked like there was equal admiration from both of them.  Kevin Knutson Guns N' Roses was originally supposed to open the first month of the U.S. leg of the tour, but cancelled and was replaced by Faster Pussycat. David Lee Roth / Faster Pussycat Nov 19, 2023

Bobby 'Cully Red' Cullinen One of my favorite bands from the late sixties in the San Francisco Bay Area. Of course, Bill Champlin, was loaded with songwriting talent and a great R& B voice. he eventually joined the ranks of Chicago, which put him on the rock n' roll map forever. Sons of Champlin Nov 19, 2023
Bobby 'Cully Red' Cullinen Boz sang some his all time favorites, 'Lido', 'Loan Me A Dime', Harbor Lights', etc. Unfortunately, he played for a little over an hour. He said, "sorry folks, I've got another concert up at Lake Tahoe!"... not cool, Boz! Boz Scaggs Nov 19, 2023
Bobby 'Cully Red' Cullinen These guys are just too much fun to listen to! They are rockin' the whole night...non-stop!...I like the rockabilly and swing music.....it's feel good music. There were a number of couples that got up and did some fancy swing dancing in 1930's dance attire.....Terrific concert! Brian Setzer Orchestra Nov 18, 2023
Bobby 'Cully Red' Cullinen This was primarily instrumental music. of course, Truth, is one of my all time favorite albums of Jeff Beck with Rod Stewart. Jeff Beck, as usual, stunned his audience with his guitar magic and tricks....(no pick, just fingers!). But he also had an outstanding female guitarist, (Jennifer Batten), who was equally impressive! Jeff Beck / Willy Porter Nov 18, 2023
Bobby 'Cully Red' Cullinen John Mayall was terrific, especially for his age. Peter Green was almost in the shadows the whole night. He looked comatose! John Mayall With Peter Green Nov 18, 2023
Bobby 'Cully Red' Cullinen Our Tahoe friend, Scott Johnson, bought front row seats fro the three of us. Both Blood, Sweat, & Tears and Three Dog Night gave lively performances with Harrah's outstanding sound system. The horns and vocals were well mixed for the large room. Chuck Negron had the energy of a teenager on stage! The music brought back a lot of fond memories Blood Sweat & Tears / Chuck Negron Nov 18, 2023
Bobby 'Cully Red' Cullinen We played a lot of the songs from these groups in our own rock band in high school in the year, 1967. This was an unusual venue for a rock concert. it was like being at any typical fairgrounds, but there were no carnival rides, no flower show, no animals; just a lot of stoned people roaming around digging on the music! Jefferson Airplane / Country Joe and the Fish / The Doors / Big Brother And The Holding Company Nov 18, 2023
Bobby 'Cully Red' Cullinen I always loved this band from their inception. They offered music from multiple genres. Steve Winwood was always thought to be a Black singer with his very bluesy voice. His vocal range was widely admired in music circles. Jim Capaldi also gave us his high energetic performance from beginning to end...outstanding performance overall....but the venue was extremely warm and humid that night....unusual for San Francisco! Traffic / John Hammond / Lamb Nov 18, 2023
