 Paul Van De Kant Faradays: 4.5 stars out of 5 BAGUS! De allereerste UP:Next showcase met de allereerste “winnaar”, Faradays. In de Ekko presenteerde zij haar nieuwe muziek geïnspireerde op en met samples van oude gamelan opnames. Heel bijzonder!  Paul Van De Kant Northcote: 4.5 stars out of 5 DIE STEM Als voorprogramma van Chuck Ragan in een bloedhete Helling, een venue die voor mij en ‘me meisie’ altijd wel een bijzondere lading heeft. Dubbel zo leuk dus, dat we daar samen zo’n volle muziekavond mochten meemaken, met deze eenzame troubadour al hoogtepunt. Northcote zit tussen The Gaslight Anthem en Frank Turner in. Hij heeft die toegankelijkheid en het zachte geluid van een Frank Turner, maar ondertussen ook dat nostalgische gevoel voor drama van the GLA. Northcote heeft een stem die rechtstreeks naar je hart grijpt, het veertig minuten lang leeg knijpt, keihard laat vallen en je daarna weer oppikt en het stof van je kleren veegt.  Paul Van De Kant Strange Brew: 4.75 stars out of 5 MCCARTNEY80! Afgelopen weekend werd Macca 80! Tijd voor een feestje ter ere van de beste man. Strange Brew (o.a Anne Soldaat en Yorick van Norden) sprongen samen met Eric Vloeimans, Roel van Velzen, Lucas Hamming, Bertolf, Stephanie Struijk, Pablo van de Poel en Bas van Holt op het podium van het Concertgebouw voor een muzikaal verjaardagsfeest. Grappig aan elkaar gepraat door Gijs Groenteman werd er een enorme hoeveelheid diverse songs gespeeld. Een paar bekende Beatle tracks, maar met name veel mooi solo werk. Werk dat je anders nooit live hoort zoals Uncle Albert en Too Many People. Allemaal uitgevoerd door topmuzikanten in een super bijzondere zaal. En terecht, wat als iemand het verdient is het Macca wel. Super mooie avond om met z’n tweeën bij te zijn. Strange Brew Apr 21, 2025

Vanaf de eerste minuut besluit het publiek dat dit een leuke show gaat worden. Biertjes en de flauwe grappen vliegen door de lucht. Zweten, bleren en hossen tot de tent het begeeft.  Paul Van De Kant Death Cab for Cutie: 5 stars out of 5 COME ON! Three songs in and front man Ben Gibbard politely asked the crowd to dance during the next song. He didn't have to worry.
