 Cookie Went with my younger brother Kieran to our first gig together at Sydney's Luna Park Big Top and It certainly lived up to it's name. What an amazing venue for a gig such as the Mighty Murphys. as soon as we walked in it was like a giant coolroom, with loads of space to spread out and enjoy. Frank Turner kicked things off and they did a damn fine job getting the crowd pumped for what was to come... Then, as the lights dimmed and the Sinead O'Connor tune "The Foggy Dew" rumbled out of the PA system. we all began the chant..."Let's go Murphys, let's go...Let's go Murphys, Let's go" The boys burst onto the stage with such amazing energy, giving us their opening gambit, The Boys are Back, from their recent Signed and Sealed In Blood. everyone was in great spirits as we sang and danced to such crackers as Capt Kelly's Kitchen, Johnny I hardly Knew Ya, Going out in Style, Rose Tattoo and Fields of Athenry. Everyone including the band was in such a great mood. We all left knowing we'd been part of something special and what a birthday present for me!!!
