Wgoodm01 I found out about the cancellation at 6am on the 2nd of April. We also were told by "I heard" that they were playing at a small theater down town. When we approached the new venue on foot, we had to work our way through several hundred protesters with signs to get in. It was wild, with amps and speakers stacked all over the small stage and wires covered the stage floor. I never heard why they did the show. I was 18 and this was my first concert. It was hot as shit and the sound quality was sketchy and I was blown away. Bill G Black Sabbath / The Pig Light Show Dec 22, 2024

Bobby 'CullyRed' Cullinen This concert was the first of 3 on this weekend in 1967. Most everyone came to see the Byrds who had just released their very successful album, Younger than Yesterday. But this was a night for Moby Grape, the local San Francisco band that got a contract with Columbia records.....they made the Byrds look like little school boys. The Byrds did not have a solid sound.....there was something that was lacking....of course, David Crosby walked away from the Byrds shortly after this tour. The Byrds / Moby Grape / Andrew Staples Dec 21, 2024
