 Black Reacher PE was pushing their first album. Before they went on there was dancing w Red Alert , Melle Mel , and a few others up in the DJ booth. Red Alert threatened to stop spinning if “the Brooklyn Crew don’t stop stompin’ people!” The brothers were walking around in vented down jackets taking people’s money! I could sense the wagons circling. PE came on after Cee and 1 or 2 other acts that did one song apiece. PE struggled up there. The music wasn’t danceable and the crowd wasn’t into the politics. Looking back, it was very experimental. But, Chuck D began haranguing the crowd, saying we were all “sleeping” and just putting us down. The crowd booed and yelled back.  Julius Morrison Puddle of Mudd and Wes Scantlin were in rare form at this show. His singing and guitar playing were nothing short of excellent.  Julius Morrison I am SO glad I finally got to see the B-52s put on a show! It was outdoors on a December night, but we were in short sleeves (this being Louisiana)- and while much of the night is foggy in my memory (see photo!), I remember really being amazed at how spot-on the vocals were- Kate Pierson and Cindy Wilson, as well as Terri Nunn of Berlin- just sounded fantastic- and WITHOUT the “help” of friggin’ Auto-Tune technology, let me add… The B-52's / Berlin Feb 28, 2024

Noel Gallagher, as always, was a total jerkoff and spent his time contentiously insulting the audience.  Julius Morrison I’m generally not a huge fan of hip-hop or rap- but seeing Snoop Dogg was enormously fun, and the 🌶️ Chili Pepper ROCKED that night.  Julius Morrison I call the blurry picture I uploaded “The $500 picture, because right after I took it, Jack White pointed straight at me and security tossed me out of the concert!🤣. Fair enough- they said beforehand NO CAMERAS, and I really didn’t realize that my phone was in the cargo pocket of my pants and not back in the truck…so this might be the only audience photo in existence from that show!
