 Dennis Towle Jr. I attended with several friends. Had no idea that it was raining until the huge disco ball split open and lit up the stadium. We had seats under the upper deck protrusion, and the rain was 3 rows below us. We watched as those folks on the stadium floor were using the plastic between the row sections as a slip-n-slide. On the way out, we were walking through the back concourse and the Pizza Hut vendor left all these boxed small pizzas, so we all grabbed a couple for the road. Great concert - as always!  Zoothorn First concert with Jerry Garcia. As luck would have it the year I could finally go see them the Grateful Dead took off. Jerry did tour with a band known as Legion of Mary. This was the days when we mailed into the Promoter to get tickets to shows. If you mailed on the first day you got excellent seats. In this case first row at a theater in Milwaukee. We had a large group of people there and were all too cool to get up and dance or even move. We sat in the seats in front and sort of set the tone for the place. I read in an interview later where Jerry mentioned Milwaukee and said it was a drag. I've always felt partially responsible for that. :) Legion of Mary (Jerry Garcia) Aug 30, 2023

 Zoothorn A favorite because it was the one and only time I was able to see Don Van Vliet, aka Captain Beefheart, perform live. The Captain was so tied up in conflicting contracts and pretty much a failed tour in 74 that Frank took him out on the road with him as part of the Bongo Fury tour that spring. He sat on an amp most of the time sketching pictures in a big sketch pad and got up near the end to sing Willie the Pimp. It was worth it. Frank Zappa Aug 30, 2023

 Zoothorn Being a Halloween show my friends and I became bold and painted our faces to go 'in costume'. We parked in the lot at across from the Auditorium and of the first hand full of people we saw had no costume.
