T.j. Lackey There was a concert before the 2005 one at coastal Federal field or whatever it's called now that it involved quiet riot slaughter Night ranger and Ted Nugent. I believe it was around 2000 because I was still married at the time Coastal Federal Field Aug 23, 2023

Michael Richardson The Alliance opened for The Foundations who were touring the US with their hit "Build Me Up Buttercup". I was the roadie for the Alliance. The Foundations were using Marshall Amps which they brought over from England as Marshall was sponsoring the band and they were getting them free. They saw Gary's Les Paul that he was playing (Gary Richrath was our Rhythym Player and later on became lead player for REO Speedwagon) and went bananas over the guitar. Anyway we made a trade and traded the Les Paul for a Marshal Stack for our Bass Player. The Stack was so large it took two of us to stack it and it stood over my head and I am 6'6". Anyway our Bass Player needed a stool to stand on to adjust the controls on the head. The bass player gave Gary some money and he went to a pawn shop in some small town in Illinois where he had spotted another Les Paul (Earlier and in better shape than the one he traded. He bartered with the owner and got it for about $80 if I remember right. Boy are those days gone. Anyway That is the Les Paul he used on stage in his early REO days, and as far as I know he never sold it. The Alliance / the foundations Aug 23, 2023
KanTexCali Rick Springfield came to Reunion Arena on his tour to support his new album "Living in Oz". 1983’s Living In Oz album was a reference to Springfield’s status as a transplanted Australian (Aus = Oz) living in Los Angeles. Despite his new environs, Living In Oz was a deeply personal album with songs about childhood memories in Sydney, his father and best friend. Despite the potentially teary eyed subject matter, Living In Oz was brashly modern with synthesizers set to dance pop melodies. The basically cold metallic arrangements were balanced by the warmth of deeply personal subject mater and Springfield’s energetic delivery. He came into the sessions for Living in Oz with 7 previous Top 40 hits, including ā€œJessie’s Girl,ā€ from 1981’s Working Class Dog, which had gone all of the way to #1. The lead single released from the album, ā€œAffair of the Heartā€Ā rose to #9 on the Billboard Hot 100, pushingĀ Living in Oz toĀ platinum status. The song also earned a Grammy nomination forĀ Best Male Rock Vocal Performance, though it lost to Michael Jackson’s ā€œBeat It.ā€ļæ¼ Rick Springfield / Quarterflash Aug 23, 2023

Michael Richardson David Bowie was playing piano for Iggy Pop and was not introduced until the end of the show when Iggy simply said "and on piano Mr David Bowie" and the crowd went nuts. Bowie was there to work on Iggy's album as Agency Recording Studio was above the Agora and it had state of the art equipment for mixing and recording. Many national acts used that recording studio.
