 Phil McN Hendrix didn't play 'Purple Haze' at the Upper Cut. In fact he wrote it that day in the dressing room. I was lucky enough to be at the gig. The Experience did play 'Wild Thing'. My brother and I also remember them playing 'Mercy Mercy' by Don Covay. Little did we know, Hendrix had played on Don Covay's record in 1964. I think they also played 'Like a Rolling Stone'.
