Faye D Rocktember is a two day outdoor show. This is the third one we’ve been to and it’s always a great time. The bands start earlier in the day, so we missed a few, but the first night we saw Britny Fox, Quiet Riot, Stephen Pearcy and Jackyl. Really good lineup. I had never been a big Britny Fox fan back in the day, but they put on a rocking show. I was glad to get to see it. Dizzy Dean hasn’t been with the band for a very long time, but this singer was great. This was the fourth time I’ve seen Quiet Riot, the first was with Kevin Dubrow in 1984 and every time since has been with Jizzy Pearl on vocals. They are a serious party band and can get a crowd going. I’ll never turn down an opportunity to see them. Stephen Pearcy, formerly of Ratt, was up next and did a nice job. I got the distinct impression he was not thrilled to sing “You’re In Love” by the way he led into it and then skipped the first verse. Lol. But his show was good. After the whole night’s worth of shows was over, we went into the casino from the outdoor amphitheater and happened to meet Scot Coogan, who was drumming for Pearcy. What a nice guy. Really down to earth and outgoing. The final show of the night was Jackyl. I hung around for a few songs. They sounded awesome and really got the crowd going, I’m just not a huge Jackyl fan. Next day we were laid up after a late night, so we missed a lot of the early bands and only made it out for Winger and Tom Keifer. Winger was actually a lot better than I expected. A lot of good guitar playing in that band. Kip can’t hit the high notes anymore though. His voice has deepened a lot in general, but it was a good show. Last show of the night was Tom Keifer and it was definitely worth the wait. He performed all the big Cinderella hits as well as other later songs of his own. He’s very interactive with the audience. His voice sounded a lot better than I thought it would considering the vocal cord surgeries and problems he’s had. I really enjoyed the show and he hinted he might be back to Rocktember next year. Overall, it was another great fest. No complaints here and it looked like a good time was had by all. Rocktember 2022 Sep 16, 2022

Sgtfckeverybodyincludingmydad This was a good show. Just a I believe scant two weeks earlier, we had as new yorkers seen the "final" cbgb's ska show (as it was closing, the last actual show was weeks ahead and patti smith scheduled I recall) which had a bandlist as best I can remember: lost city angels, the specs, tri-state conspiracy, big d and the kids table, and the pietasters. So two weeks later most of the same bands played the knitt for the halloween 3 floors of ska show (3 floors of ska used to be once a month at the knit) and big d had a big halloween show tradition. It was a great show, tip the van are hot, tsc is/was a local awesome, lemonade grenade impressive as always (just a bunch of 15-16 year old kids throwning it down) it was a really good show in the aftermath of the cb's show and a clinging hope that skapunk music would still be there.  Joshua B. '68 is a super talented 2 piece band. Drummer was on another level. Anberlin / '68 Sep 15, 2022
Joshua B. Annika had a very pleasant voice. Surfaces played a great set. Great energy and they looked like they legitimately love performing. LANY sounded overproduced and inauthentic. LANY / Surfaces / Annika Bennett Sep 15, 2022
Joshua B. RTJ's last song, "A Few Words from the Firing Squad (Radiation)" was haunting. What an amazing track. Zach de la Rocha still sounds great. The energy he brought to MSG was insane. Rage Against The Machine / Run the Jewels Sep 15, 2022
Joshua B. Every band came out the gate with incredible energy and sustained it throughout their sets. Amazing displays of technicality from every musician on the stage this night. August Burns Red / We Came As Romans / Hollow Front Sep 15, 2022
Joshua B. FoolShine: Lead guitarist had a family emergency, so they were a 3 piece band. The singer for Best of Foo was in a wheelchair and sounded great. The singer for the Ten Band was spot on with Eddie Vedder's voice. The Ten Band / Best of Foo / FoolShine Sep 15, 2022
Joshua B. Hot as fuck in here. A/C was definitely broken. People were passing out it was so hot. While it ruined my fiancé's enjoyment, it didn't stop me from enjoying the evening. Ocean Alley / Le Shiv Sep 15, 2022
