Geoffrey Mason On July 18, 1970, Yes played Mother's in Birmingham, and not The Castle in London. Zimtrim cropped the ad from Melody Maker July 18, 1970 incorrectly. Here's a clip showing the ad in context. Yes May 22, 2021
Blackdiamond Opened with an excellent all-acoustic show by Brewer and Shipley (Tarkio Road, One Toke, etc.). Hot Tuna show was similar in sound/songs to the "First Pull Up" lp released several months later, including Will Scarlett on harmonica, Sammy Piazza on drums, and Papa John Creach on fiddle. As indicated in the newspaper clipping, there was much drama due to smoking in the wooden music hall, with threats to stop the show by the fire marshall. Hot Tuna (Electric) / Brewer and Shipley May 21, 2021
Blackdiamond I attended this concert. Hot Tuna "did not show" and a local Grateful Dead clone band served as the intro band. Grin put on a tremendous show, still partly available as a sugarmegs download. I stayed for only one or two songs of the Savoy Brown show, which paled in comparison to Grin. savoy brown / Hot Tuna / Grin May 21, 2021

Mr.Ken This is an incomplete list of concerts at the Anaheim Convention Center. I saw WAR, Jethro Tull (In 1971) and Emerson, Lake and Palmer at the Anaheim Convention Center in the late 1960's and early 1970's. I don't see them listed. Anaheim Convention Center May 20, 2021

Thom Lambertson Met Jerry and Bob after the set. They were "hanging out" at the club entrance on Bleeker Street. Bob was telling Jerry about a visit to the Guild guitar factory in Hoboken that afternoon. Grateful Dead May 20, 2021
Aztec52 Was reminiscing and thought about the Divine Miss M concert that I saw at Red Rocks way back when. Nobody knew who the tall, skinny blonde in a white, long tail tux was. Only that he was her music director and opening act and he had that "IT". Started raining and Bette said " me and the girls (the Harletts) are freezing are tits off but that won't stop us" and they proceeded to do the entire concert wet and cold. What a fantastic night! Bette Midler / Barry Manilow May 20, 2021
sconjin The setlist published in the paper the next day is different then the one here. Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers / Blind Boys of Alabama May 20, 2021
