whendricks Its more from my own memory and the Website link is for verification. The opening act were a female fronted band from Australia. I appreciate you worked shows back then but Screaming Trees they were not. You are simply mistaken with this detail and memory Baby Animals / Van Halen May 07, 2021
Mike D. Great venue, but a late night when you live 2 hours away! Roger Hodgson May 07, 2021
Mike D. Partied with a couple radio show hosts from Q107 and received back stage passes, that was cool! The Cult / Bonham May 07, 2021
jeffallen105 If you're basing it off the website you linked, then the website listing is 100% wrong. I was working for the rock station that presented that show, and I was the one with the station van outside the coliseum. We were playing "Nearly Lost You" in rotation, and I spoke with their label rep that night about how strange the pairing was to put them with Van Halen. Baby Animals / Van Halen May 07, 2021
Gimelgort Blondie lost half of their sound midway thru their set and were booed off the stage. Alice Cooper / Blondie May 07, 2021
whendricks 100% the opening act was Baby Animals. Screaming Trees were not on the bill. http://www.vharchives.com/vhtour19911992 Baby Animals / Van Halen May 07, 2021
Gregory Linton It was so great to have this tour come to Reading, and this album was so good it was hard to come to grips that it was 2019! I would have thought that all of Jon's greatest solo music would be in the past, but this was shockingly good, both musically and vocally. Also the band was amazing, I will never forget this show. Absolute quality. Jon was so much fun, he forgot the lyrics and at one point had a piece of paper that Jane had written them on for him. Flight of the Moorglade was shocking too, I didn't know how much he would do of any of his classic solo stuff, so this was so exciting, loved the ship video in the background. This show just proves that age doesn't really matter, at least not to Jon. His voice was so good, it just made me wonder why he wasn't still in Yes. My favorites from the new one are WDMCF and Ramalama, though I really like every song, even Makes Me Happy. First Born Leaders shows how good his voice still is, sounds like 80's Jon vocally. Hope he does another one. I did do the pre show meet and greet, he was a nice as ever, liked my knock off relayer shirt. He signed a poster for me and then a short photo shoot. He is the best. Jon Anderson May 07, 2021
Gregory Linton Hopefully not the last time I get to see this level of musicianship, This was the 7 member lineup. I remember thinking how its good they put Pat to the left, if he was in the center it would be too unbalanced, he is such a spectacle. The drumming is so scary between the three. Robert was terrifying as usual. Flawless performance. This was just me and Tom. King Crimson May 07, 2021
Gregory Linton We didn't know it at the time, but this was the last time Tom and I saw RUSH, another horrible mistake. I just figured they would play for ever. It was a great show, love how much effort they put into the stage and lighting as well as the playing. Subdivisions opening was unexpected. as was the ending with 2112 PT1, PT2 and PT7, that was really nice. There is no better live band. I miss RUSH and the times Tom and I went to see them over the years. Rush May 07, 2021
Gregory Linton Never really expected to see them live, it is something I'll never forget, our seats were great, third row, so we could see them really well, Lisa had her dulcimer in the center of the stage, Brendan was on the far left. Her voice is beyond belief. So much range and power and she doesn't breathe hard or sweat, she might be an alien. It was the best. The Kimmel center is perfect for them as well, great acoustics. Love this band. Dead Can Dance May 07, 2021
Gregory Linton Another awesome Yes show, The Revealing Science of God was the best, also Leaves of Green, This would be the second to last time I'd see Jon with this lineup. Wish I'd seen them more. Yes May 07, 2021
Mimsical Sold out - over 20,000 in attendance Eagles May 07, 2021
Gregory Linton This one I can thank Scott Fegley for, he bought me tickets but wasn't at the show. This was an eye opener, what an amazing guitar playing, stellar. Al Di Meola May 07, 2021
Gregory Linton This was a great one, I think Tom, Crystal and Tim came along, but I'm not sure. It was really cool to have Steve Howe playing in both bands. Must have been a tireing tour for him. He played the Grammy nominated Masquerade and Intersection Blues, I love when he does his solo stuff. Yes opened with Firebird Suite, its such a great way to open the show. Its a shame that Tim didn't get to see Jon singing, Jon brings so much to the performance, it's not just his voice but his presence and ability to bring the fans up! Asia was great too, I liked how they played various songs from the other bands they were in, and some killer bands at that, King Crimson, ELP and The Buggles. Great stuff! I ran into Barbara Edmonds from work. Yes / Asia May 07, 2021
Gregory Linton Tom and I went to see them once again. We didn't have great seats but the show was still amazing, the highlight for me was The Camera Eye, for some reason I never realized how astonishing the drumming is on that one, I did this night. Plus three instrumentals can't be beat! Best band ever! Rush May 07, 2021
Gregory Linton This was a great one, I wanna say it was Tom, Tim, Crystal came along but I'm not certain, it was amazing to have Steve play in both bands, he played the Grammy nominated Masquerade, and Intersection blues. I love when he plays his solo stuff. The show opened with Firebird Suite, I was a shame that Tim didn't get to see Jon Anderson singing, he was still excited, but really missed out. Jon brings not only his voice but a feeling you don't get with the other singers. Asia was awesome as well, loved how they covered the bands the member had played in. Yes / Asia May 07, 2021
Gregory Linton When it was announced that they would be coming to Reading, it was so bittersweet. Benoit David was singing, so it was not what I would have liked for my hometown. But I have to give the guy credit, he didn't shy away from any of the music, I was really surprised to hear such a varied group of songs, ones I've never heard them do before. Even a Conspiracy song. It was better than I expected but I still missed Jon. Oliver Wakeman was on keyboard, so that was cool. It was the only time Yes came to Reading, the Performing Arts Center is perfect for Yes. I saw Bob Simmons from work at the show. Didn't expect him to be there, apparently, his wife is a huge Yes fan. Yes May 07, 2021
Chodan1 This was the transition years of REO Speedwagon. Prior to this year they were a rock band that played some great songs like 157 Riverside Avenue. But in the 80s they became a pop band. It was a surprise to me, I was all about their earlier music but they had their most success with the switch to pop. I didn’t get to see them perform 157 Riverside Avenue live in 1981 but saw them later in life in Panama City Beach Florida and they did it then. Made my year complete. REO Speedwagon May 07, 2021
Chodan1 41 years after seeing Kiss for the first time I saw them again with one of the same friends I saw them with the first time. Danny Grabill and I, along with his brother Troy enjoyed Kiss in Jacksonville, FL. The band members changed a bit but they continued to rock and please the crowd! KISS May 06, 2021
Chodan1 This was the first concert I ever attended. Gave me the fever to see many more. I attended this concert via a bus ride from Altoona, PA to the show. My good friend Danny Grabill and my friend Lisa Knee rode the bus over and enjoyed the show! It was one of the most entertaining and captivating concerts I’ve seen. KISS May 06, 2021
