Gregory Linton Rush is never a let down, all of their shows are at the highest level. I was going to go to this one with Tom but he couldn't make it, this time my lights worked. The setlist was good, Workin' Them Angels was one of my favorites, also any time I get to hear Natural Science is the best. The last 6 songs were very unusual together, but a great surprise to play them. Rush Mar 27, 2021
Gregory Linton This was the first time I saw Asia, I always think of Dan's brother Jimmy when I hear Asia, he played it none stop in his car. This show had so much, the Asia music is great, but the surprising songs were the ones that were from other bands that the members of Asia have been in. It was thrilling to hear Fanfare. Also in The Court of The Crimson King Steve added a little flurry of guitar at one point that when I listen to King Crimson now, I think I'm going to hear Steve's part. Video Killed the Radio Star was another shocker. Never saw the Buggles either. Loved this show and my seats were good too. Asia Mar 27, 2021

Gregory Linton I wish I could remember what they played. I know they played most of the songs we knew, but they were know to play all kinds of covers as well. Wish I'd seen them more than once. Rasputina Mar 25, 2021
Gregory Linton This show Derrick and I went to not to see Gnarles Barkley, who we knew nothing about, but to see the one and only Mike Patton! He was opening for Gnarles Barkley, I vividly remember about 8 or 10 people outside the front door to the Electric Factory, doors hadn't opened yet. We were just sitting on the ground and suddenly walking past us and going in the front door is Mike Patton and some hot girl, we just looked at each other, like wait a second he just walked right by us, no one even knew who he was, one of those time you regret not saying something, I mean who walks in the front door, Mike Patton does! Rahzel, the human beatbox was on stage with him that night. Derrick recorded some of the show. And as a bonus, it turns out that we both loved Gnarles Barkley as well. Great time.  Gregory Linton Went to see them with Tanis, always love going to New York, it was cool to see Avenged Sevenfold as well, The band sounded great. Such storytellers. Coheed and Cambria / Eighteen Visions / Avenged Sevenfold Mar 25, 2021
Gregory Linton This was the show that made me buy a cell phone, though I should have had one for the show! Me, Tom, and I can't remember Tom's friend who came with us, went to see the opening show of tour! It was in a tiny bar, and what an impact seeing them this close up. Jeremy Stacy was touring with Cheryl Crow at the time so we had to make due with Alan White, and yes that is a joke, Alan was fantastic as to be expected. Steve looked a bit nervous but I guess that can be expected since he hadn't sang with The Syn since 1968, be he sounded good and the band was tight, It was great to be able to see them, I kick myself for not staying to watch again, they did 2 shows that night. I remember walking around the bar and seeing them down a hall in a room, just hanging out between sets. One great album! So much to enjoy and Chris was at the top of his game. The Syn Mar 25, 2021
Gregory Linton I remember Steve being annoyed at loud drunks, I also remember how good he sounded, he was flawless. steve howe Mar 25, 2021
Gregory Linton It was impossible to keep this secret from Derrick since we were in the same venue the previous weekend to see Spoon and there were Bauhuas posters for this show, I'm not sure he believed me when I told him we were coming back to NYC to see them and I already had tickets. It seemed like the band was not too excited to be doing this show. It was a far cry from the Resurrection tour we saw in 1998. They did do a great set of songs though. Bauhaus Mar 25, 2021
Gregory Linton Spoon is the kind of band that all of the songs are cool, they put on a great show, it was straight forward, felt like I was in a club seeing a band that I was stunned to find out about. It was just Derrick and I at this one. Spoon Mar 25, 2021
Gregory Linton Scott Fegley got me tickets for this show, Pat Metheny is amazing! If I remember right Bryon Betts was there and had Pat sign one of his effects pedals. Pat Metheny Group Mar 25, 2021
