Lori K Notes: At times, it felt like the Providence show time-warped back a few months -- "Leah" returned for the first time this leg, along with other early-tour staples like "For You," "The River," and "Part Man Part Monkey." Springsteen revisited a lot of his early stories as well, and there was no electric piano tonight, with six songs all on the grand. But by the end of the set we were back in October, with "The New Timer" on autoharp and "Growin' Up" on ukulele; Springsteen even remarked, "I'm playing a lot of gizmos tonight -- I'm gonna be ready for Ted Mack's Amateur Hour!" Another nice bit of banter was about growing up Catholic: "It's a religion of beauty, poetry, and hideous terror." "Valentine's Day" into "Real World" was a "double-header dedication" at the piano for Kate Landau, and "Jon, her daddy," referenced in the first song's lyric, "A friend of mine became a father last night." Also on piano was a New Orleans-style "You Can Look," with Bruce joking about his limited skills. Not on piano was "Atlantic City" -- played only once previously on the keys, offered up tonight on guitar and harmonica in the encore. Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band Oct 30, 2025
Lori K Notes: "Roulette"-- how's that for a surprise opener? It's the song's tour premiere. Plus "Atlantic City," "Brilliant Disguise," "Because the Night," "Racing in the Street," "Spirit," and a cover of "Honky Tonk Women" worked into "Darlington County." By all accounts an amazing show, and the last for a couple of weeks as the band takes a well-deserved break. Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band Oct 30, 2025

Akimbo @HodgieSr I saw him there, too, was it the show when he was too drunk to play and rambled on about a wet dream he had? Leo Kottke Oct 30, 2025
Timothy O'Halloran This show was a major "get" for UW-O and it's promotor. The Kolf Sports Center was fairly new at the time and they put on many concerts in the early and mid 1970's. Other big name shows that I attend there were Ten Years After, Black Oak Arkansas, Todd Rundgren and Jerry Jeff Walker (to name a few). The sold out arena was primed and ready when Faces/Rod Stewart took the stage. Shortly into the concert Rod stopped the show. He was obviously very upset and looked like he was thinking about leaving the stage. Apparently, what happened was somebody threw something at the stage and it ended up hitting Stewart in the face! It was later reported to be a coin. I remember what he said..."Whoever threw that object--I'm going to steal your girlfriend after the show!' (This is my PG version because there was some profanity used by Rod that really showed how upset he was). Anyway, lucky for those in attendance the show continued, and it was a rockin' Faces performance! I don't have a complete setlist but I do recall these songs played durig the set: It's All Over Now Three Time Loser Sweet Little Rock & Roller (I Know) I'm Losing You You Wear It Well Angel Maggie May I never heard if they caught the guy who foolishly decided to jeopardize the health of the band by throwing something at them. I for one hope that he was held accountable for it. And kudos to Rod to carry on after the incident and give the fans a great performance. Rod Stewart and Faces Oct 30, 2025
