PKHoff This concert was not scheduled. He was taking a break from the tour at the Broadmoor Resort and decided to do a concert. Elton John Aug 07, 2021
PKHoff Sat on stage 6 feet from Elton who played the entire concert with a piano and no one else. Friends ran the arena. It was an unforgettable night! Simply heaven. Elton John Aug 07, 2021
PKHoff Def Leppard had two drum sets after Rick Allen’s car accident but he played the concert by himself. Only the second concert, after MOR at Donnigton, he played with one arm. Never knew any difference. Phenomenal. Def Leppard / Ozzy Osbourne / Bon Jovi / Scorpions / Warlock / Michael Schenker Group Aug 07, 2021
PKHoff In the middle of Jethro Tull’s set a mist rolled in. The Concert Hall was oversold and people were trying to get in with valid tickets. The Caribinairi fired tear-gas at the crowd, but the gas came in the Hall. Tull left until it cleared and finished the concert. Craziness. Jethro Tull Aug 07, 2021
PKHoff Snuck in with my buddy Wes. Got to see Ace Frehley and Peter Chris warming up without makeup. Right in front the entire show. Rush / KISS Aug 07, 2021
PKHoff Kiss stopped when the fireworks over NYC went off. Amazing day & night. KISS / The J. Geils Band / Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band / Point Blank (US-TX) Aug 07, 2021
PKHoff Unbelievable night. The fire concert. M-80s we’re raining down from upper seating. Iommi had a broken hand and still played. One of the craziest concerts I’ve seen. Sabbath came out after midnight and were sensational. Black Sabbath / Status Quo / Slade Aug 07, 2021
PKHoff Anything in Gusman was special. Supertramp was extra special. Supertramp Aug 07, 2021
TommyStyles One of my favorite concert memories. Def Leppard / Tesla Aug 07, 2021
Vickim57 I just remember being disappointed in Dave Mason’s version of We Just Disagree - it was one of the songs I thought was perfection. He didn’t seem interested and just threw it out and moved on. I guess he was more interested in playing blues, not “Top 40 drivel” or something. Poco / Dave Mason Aug 07, 2021
anniebhunter The one band I wish I had been able to see! Instead we watched the movie The Song Remains the Same over and over again at the Saturday night midnight showings at Suniland Movie Theatre in Miami. Also worked there. Led Zeppelin Aug 07, 2021
anniebhunter It was wild for me, I was 15 and it was one of my first concerts. The air was thick with the smell of pot, the weather, the music, the animal balloons....wild to say the least! It's funny because I saw them again for the Division Bell tour and it was really stormy that night and they had a blimp up and it flew over the stadium through the clouds, it was amazing. We had so much fun we booked tickets to see them again in Tampa. What an era of wonderful music! Pink Floyd Aug 07, 2021
PKHoff I was at this Led Zeppelin “Riot” Concert. In the photo that’s me up towards the front with brown corduroy pants (yes, ridiculous) and no shirt. Before the epic storm hit it had been beautiful all day. Zeppelin mesmerized me for the 3 songs they actually finished and I’d go on to be the crazy Led Zeppelin fan that I still am. Tickets said Rain or Shine but Zeppelin simply left the stadium with everyone expecting them to come back on stage. A bunch of incredible memories from that day, and night. Led Zeppelin Aug 07, 2021
PKHoff Miami was getting hit by a tropical storm but Floyd played anyway. It was an epic concert but the thing I remember most (aside from the band) was the wind destroying all of the giant inflatable animals they used for the Animals album tour. A great night I remember well to this day. Pink Floyd Aug 07, 2021
PKHoff My ex-girlfriend had ripped off a bunch of my stuff before moving to Ft Lauderdale with some drummer. I was upfront at this Frampton concert when, between bands, several girls I knew from Boca Raton Beach pushed their way up. I started talking to one of my ex’s friends, Rose, asking if she’d seen her and that she’d stolen a bunch of my stuff while I was out. She said no. After a while I was just checking her out from behind and noticed she was wearing my jeans! Long story short, she told me she’d gotten them from Shawn and knew she had stolen a bunch of my stuff. I let her keep the jeans….she looked much better in them than I did. Footnote: J. Geils Band absolutely rocked that night! Peter Frampton / Rick Derringer / Pablo Cruise / The J. Geils Band Aug 07, 2021
