 Georges A. Gauthier It’s obvious from their albums that precision isn’t what drives Stereolab, but it was still surprising to hear how loose, jangly, off key and tempo challenged they are. They are professional musicians after all. And it’s not like they are animated on stage, have a cool light show or dancing or anything else to distract you. It’s like they don’t care.  Jason Worthley [Show 161} Well this was an interesting show. First, I had no idea Keith was back. I knew he regretted the transformation but didn't know he went back. Second, I didn't know he became such a diva either. He took a couple minutes between songs to nag on the side security about paying attention to crowd surfers. Ok. But then he seemed to focus too much on what was going on on the side after that. Wally's switched out security. Second, some jackass got his head split open in the pit. I say jackass only because this guy was roughing up people all night, almost got in a fight beside me, and it didn't surprise me that he wound up on the floor. They stopped the show, and Keith was bitching at security about calling paramedics (like...how does he know they didn't?) and when they finally snapped back at him to shut up, Keith said cut and ended it right there. He said it was their last song anyway, but I know they had 2 more coming. Very disappointing. They put on a great show up to then though. On a lighter note, Jasta was great. I loved that he specifically asked if anyone from Maine was at the show and when I raised my arms he pointed at me and said "welcome all you Maineiacs" and hopes he can play Bangor, Lewiston, or Portland next year. I also got Nick Petrino's signature guitar pick. The opening act, Scotty Saints from Portland Maine were also great. Now if Wally's would just invest in some fans to circulate the air.
