Valetam Everything says the concert was at Harpos. I remember this show at The Main Act in Roseville. Kix Aug 09, 2025
Chuck McGowan Unquestionably the most feel-good concert I ever attended. A perfect early fall afternoon in the gorge. Everybody was simply having a great time. Jimmy & The Coral Reefers were on point. And the Deadheads made everything so much fun. I didn't know what I was walking into with a live concert from Jimmy, but I knew his music. I regret never seeing him again. Jimmy Buffett Aug 09, 2025
Chuck McGowan Also on the bill were locals Bathtub Gin. They don't have a page on here, and I don't know how to make that happen. Blue Öyster Cult / Hall Aflame / Bathtub Gin Aug 09, 2025
Rick Bocanegra This was a good show. I remember Tom Petty forgot the words to Don't Do Me Like That. It was a moment that made him seem more relatable to me. Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers / Nick Lowe/Paul Carrack Aug 09, 2025
Rick Bocanegra This was a really good concert. My first of many times seeing them. The crowd stopped the band with chants of ZZ Top and they just took a moment to soak it all in. It was awesome. The same can't be said for Tommy Tutone who was booed mercilessly. Whoever paired these bands together didn't know El Paso, lol ZZ Top / tommy tutone Aug 09, 2025

Rick Bocanegra This is the first time I saw Ozzy. Since he just passed, I thought I would share. The concert was sold out and Randy Rhoads was still alive. He was a truly amazing guitar player. Ozzy had the crowd totally under his control. When Ozzy shook his fist, every single person in the crowd from the front to the very back shook their fist. It was crazy to see. Throw in a knife fight in the hall for the bathroom and losing a bag of smoke. It was a concert I'll never forget. Ozzy Osbourne / U F O Aug 09, 2025
Stoutman Good show in a small venue. Kimberly never fails to put on a great show :) One-Eyed Doll Aug 09, 2025

Chuck McGowan The band was billed as "Soft White Underbelly" for these two shows at New George's in San Rafael. I attended the early show. The later show was simulcast on KFOG out of San Francisco, with them obviously using "Blue Oyster Cult" to promote the live simulcast. But tickets were sold for "Soft White Underbelly." I wish I still had mine. There are videos of this show on youtube from the bar's closed circuit television system. Audio/video isn't too bad...I've seen (and uploaded) much worse! As always, the boys were firin' on all cylinders. I was stationed in Alameda on the Carl Vinson, and took a few of my Navy buddies with me, and they had their asses kicked by the mighty BÖC, of course. Blue Öyster Cult Aug 09, 2025
Chuck McGowan I was stationed on the USS Carl Vinson at Alameda, and took a few of my Navy buddies with me to this show. They had no idea they were about to have their ears melted...and then their eyes. I remember when the band first came on stage, I was like, "Who the hell is that playing guitar for them? Where's Buck?!?!" Upon closer observance, it was Buck, but he was rockin' a pompadour mullet. I thought it was someone else, but no...just a sign of the times. The Oyster Boys slayed that evening.  Chuck McGowan I was stationed on the USS Carl Vinson from February 1986 to April 1989. I saw this show and have photos. I believe this was a part of Jerry's community service after his possession bust, but don't quote me on that. :D It was very surreal witnessing Jerry & band playing on the hangar deck. The only song in the set I knew was "Deal." I really don't recall much else aside from my Deadhead shipmate who was going batshit crazy that Jerry was playing on the ship. ha ha ha Jerry Garcia Band Aug 09, 2025
