bsworth Back Stage pass..... Dark Star Orchestra (Tribute to Grateful Dead) / The Bridge Jul 06, 2025
mdono1 So tonight I played "Bittersweet," by Big Head Todd and the Monsters and the song title was very appropriate. I found out yesterday that my sister fell down a flight of stairs and she is in a hospital in Poughkipsee N.Y.. She has some pretty serious injuries and needless to say the whole family is concerned. Her children are there with her and we are praying for a full recovery. So I dedicated tonight's show to her and it was powerful for me. I had a number of friends show up and I am so grateful. I am blessed. Mark and Kathy came from Utica and Greg came from Naples. Brad showed up with his dog. Of course my sweet wife was there. This was a show where I had a good deal of fun. There were smiles and tears and some really nice moments. Tonight all the hard work paid off in a big way and people I really love were there to share it. I played two sets with Grace Martinez playing a set in between mine. As usual Grace is just a shining light of songwriting and Musicianship and singing. 7-5-25. Reinvention Brewery Manchester N. Y.  Brucefan24 Second and last show in Brisbane with 27 songs and six tour premieres. Bruce invites fifteen-year-old Nathan Testa on stage to play "Growin' Up" with him after spotting Nathan's sign that read "Missed school, in the shit now, can I play Growin' Up with you?". It's not the first time that Nathan has been on stage with Bruce, in March 2013 in Brisbane he was pulled out of the crowd during "Waitin' On A Sunny Day". The "Hungry Heart" crowd surf leaves Bruce with someone's iPhone in his pocket. "This is someone's iPhone… this is a first! It will be backstage for you." The tour premieres include the only tour appearances of "Working On A Dream" (not played since 2012), "Roll Of The Dice", "Long Time Comin'" (last played in 2013, here in a full band arrangement), "Fire", and "Follow That Dream". The set closes with a full-band "Thunder Road". First ever performances in Australia for "Working On A Dream", "Roll Of The Dice", and "Fire". Patti Scialfa is not present.
