James J Borden Monster Magnet did not play this show. Think they had a conflict and played with Ozzy someplace else but this was a great show. White Zombie / Murphy's Law / New School Apr 26, 2025
Sthpc Marquee club,Wardour Street London Sunday June 15th 1969 Strawbs wee top of the bill Support acts were David Bowie and James Taylor. That must have been some concert to have been at with James Taylor (signed to the Beatle's Apple records) and David Bowie both in their early 20's just getting their careers off the ground! Strawbs Apr 26, 2025
Brian J. Walsh Huge fan of U2 at the time. Went to the venue and at the box office, they had released a block of tickets that included seats near the stage. The seat I had already paid for was not nearly as good, so I bought a new one, and was going to go re-sell my old one out in the parking lot because you were allowed to re-sell so long as it was a certain distance from the arena. Before I could get far enough out to make a sale, one of those sudden Florida thunderstorms popped up, and everybody started rushing in, so I ended up just keeping the old ticket. I had such a great time that I didn't mind 'eating' the cost of the extra seat. U2 / Red Rockers Apr 26, 2025
River Into Lake / V.o. Apr 26, 2025
Brian J. Walsh Couldn't get tickets to the 25th Anniversary Rock and Roll Hall of Fame show that was at the Garden that same night, so I settled for this instead. Already a big fan of Robert Earl Keen, and familiar with a couple of Robison's songs, Todd Snider was the unknown quantity to me at the time. I bought his then current album, 'The Excitement Plan', and thought it was okay, but he didn't win me over completely. Seeing him perform live, even though he was sharing the stage with two other musicians, sealed the deal for me. Easygoing, laid back, and very funny, the barefoot troubadour won me over, and I expanded my music collection to include his complete discography and have seen him play live a few times since this show. Robert Earl Keen / Todd Snider / Bruce Robison Apr 26, 2025
BRDCST ‘25 - Day 2 Apr 26, 2025
Falling to Grey Stick to your Guns couldn't perform. Nasty played a 2nd set, including 1st live version of Talk w/ Paleface Swiss!!! Paleface Swiss / Stick To Your Guns / Nasty Apr 26, 2025
Brian J. Walsh Styx was a staple on the local radio on the strength of songs like 'Come Sail Away', 'Blue Collar Man', and 'Renegade', so I was kind of surprised with the way the theatrical elements of the live show. I recall some stage dressing and backdrops that evoked an theater of the ablum title they were touring for, and it opened with Denns DeYoung dressed in some sort of old-timey costume, pushing a broom across the stage, then pausing to do a little intro to set the scene before launching into 'Rocking The Paradise' as the band emerged behind him. I wasn't sure what we were going to get, but thankfully, they played faithful renditions of all the hits among the new stuff. Overall, a memorable show that wasn't at all diminished by the 'concept' setting. Styx Apr 26, 2025
Brian J. Walsh In the lull between the post-crash disbanding of Lynyrd Skynrd and the revival version, Rossington Collins admirably filled the void for this southern rock fan. Their debut album was good without being derivative, and It was an easy sell as my first live concert experience. The sound in the venue was less than great, but the band had good energy, and put on a good show, and Mother's Finest were very entertaining as the openers. Rossington Collins Band / Mother's Finest Apr 26, 2025
