Held in the magnificent setting of the ancient Roman amphitheatre. in Patras, Peloponnese Greece. A stunning set full of magical melodies and musical ideas from a consummate artist.  Sthpc Ziggy played guitar... and I was there for the "Farewell Ziggy". moment. The whole concert was just out of this world....... you had to have been there. The film that was released years later of the concert is not too bad but even then it did not capture the " stardust" that David and the band sprinkled in air that night...  Sthpc This was a magical, spiritual concert that will live long in my memory and will always be my No 1 concert - through a magical set of circumstances, shortly before the concert was due to begin, I met a close personal friend of his who offered me a VIP pass to meet James Taylor backstage after the show. This, after all was the Hammersmith Odeon - the scene for the famous "Farewell Ziggy" concert that I was at on Tuesday the 3rd of July 1973 and I ended up backstage. My god... There of all places. Wow! What can I say. I was speechless. The angels were looking down on me for this concert. It really does not get any better than that if you were/are a fan of David Bowie and JT as I was/am, still to this day.. if anyone wants to know my story then by all means do get in touch with me.  Sthpc A great concert in an outdoor arena close to Athens - there he was - the one and only "Columbia recording star" Bob Dylan with his band. A big surprise in the set list was the inclusion of "Girl from the north country" which was magical and beautiful to hear. These day his Bobship likes likes to sit behind his keyboard and for most of the evening he was in the background. Great band he's got there. I'm glad I was there to see and hear him. Somehow I got chatting with Steve Hackett (the guitarist at that time with Genesis) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Hackett As he was standing next to me he asked me some questions about "whether I liked this band " - I got the idea that he wanted to have an idea/feel for what sort of music was popular/up and coming at the Marquee club...I was his chosen music fan that evening.
