Live Aid remains one of the most well-known benefit concerts in history. Organized by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure as a fund-raising campaign for famine relief in Ethiopia, the event took place in both Philadelphia and London. It was telecast globally with related concerts in several other countries. In Philadelphia, several bands reunited for rare appearances, including the original three members of Led Zeppelin, The Beach Boys with Brian Wilson, Black Sabbath with Ozzy Osbourne, and Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young.

Tickets were $35 bucks, got there at little after 7AM. hot as hell day, enjoyed listening to many bands I'd only dream of ever seeing live. Too bad i didn't have a camera or Camcorder at the time.

My brother-in-law and I went while my wife stayed at home to audio tape it…years later the dvds came out…who knew ? Lol

Went with my Uncle Kevin Fallon & Dave Torpey. On the flight back to Florida I sat with the keyboardist Dan Hubbell & John (Canter?) from Molly Hatchett
