 michael wright We hitch-hiked from Massachusetts to attend the scheduled Miami Pop Festival but were informed just north of Miami that it was canceled and relocated somewhere near Orlando. We headed back that way and found the site on Saturday afternoon, March 28TH. We were told that Johnny Winter had shown up on Friday night looking for someone to jam with and would return and perform on Saturday which he indeed did. Johnny played an incredible first set. He was followed by another incredible set by The Allman Brothers in full force. The third set was a jam with both bands creating an outstanding night of music. On Sunday evening Johnny Winter again performed an opening set. This was followed by a powerful set featuring Leslie West and Mountain. The night was topped off by a jam set with Mountain and Johnny Winter filled with awesome music. It was worth the trip The Allman Brothers Band / Mountain / Johnny Winter Apr 23, 2026
