Lane Bishop My favorite concert of all time! REO Speedwagon was a great start! ( does anyone remember that the lead guitarist almost fell off the stage? One foot slipped off & he busted his ass. Popped right back up and played) anyway! J Geils band was awesome then ZZ Top blew us away! They’re the the most professional the way they owned the stage! I was 10 feet from the stage so that helped! Never ever forget that one ZZ Top / The J. Geils Band / REO Speedwagon / Jay Boy Adams Dec 01, 2024
Dave Turgoose Concert was spoiled by very poor sound balance with the drums overpowering the vocals and all other instruments. The Lightning Seeds Dec 01, 2024

Dave Turgoose Sound quality was terrible. In particular the drums were completely overwhelming, drowning the vocals, guitars and keyboards. Also very late on stage, around 9.15pm and the set list lasted barely an hour (with Ian Brodie forgetting which track was next not once but twice). Generally seemed underprepared and unprofessional for such an experience band ( this being their 35th Anniversary tour). Probably 25 years ago when I last saw them and they were fantastic then ( at Newcastle City Hall I think). Boiler Shop Stephenson Works Nov 30, 2024

Bill Mair When I saw the Association in 1968 they used several sets of SHURE Vocal Master Columns on a boxing ring type stage center ice at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium. Same set-up used for roller skating events. The sound was incredibly good considering it was in a 1966 hockey arena. The Association Nov 30, 2024
Bill Mair The original Six Man Band achieved two US Billboard Number One hits, a number of further Top 20 recordings, along with a run of successful best-selling LPs, and whilst often credited as being one of the hardest working bands of the 60s, they are also honoured as having the second-most played BMI-published song on U.S. radio history during the 20th century!  Bill Mair Sunday, August 3, 1975: CHUM's successful summer concerts at Nathan Phillips Square continued this past Sunday with Peter Foldy and Copperpenny sharing the bill. The free concerts have attracted as many as 20,000 at Toronto's City Hall. Peter Foldy's singing and songwriting style can be heard on his latest single "Hollywood" f/s "Paris Bound." He assembled a concert band especially for the engagement. Foldy will soon be flying to Los Angeles to record continue more tracks for his first album on Capitol Records. Copperpenny's follow-up single to "Disco Queen", and just released is "Good Time Sally." The group has undergone personnel changes, which leaves founder-member Rich Wamil with three new members. They are Jim Minas on drums, Mark Stephen Gendel on guitar, and bassist Bill Mair. The group's last tour in May with Blue Swede, hit nineteen cities including a stop at Ontario Place where the two attracted more than 10,000 fans. Peter Foldy / Copperpenny Nov 30, 2024
