 Kelly Gatton I don’t remember any of the set lists, but I do remember hearing during The Soft Machine’s set Robert Wyatt (who was wearing a sort of Tarzan loincloth) chanting “I did it again” repeatedly for quite some time during one of their songs.  AKsilvereagle This event got cancelled due to all the public outcry - reference to the AC/DC cap that the "night stalker" serial killer Richard Ramirez was wearing at one time - that put Southern California on edge during this period, DESPITE HIS CAPTURE SEVEN WEEKS PRIOR to this venue.... Local residents persisted to Pacific Amphitheater officials to cancel the venue making a mockery out of the AC/DC logo that they say it symbolized devil worship...  stephenhuerta 12/08/2025: First and foremost, I don’t know to much about Godspeed You! Black Emperor, except for the positive things I’ve heard and read about them. I know that they’re Canadians, Montreal to be exact, they’re Post Rock, which I definitely like. So that’s good enough for me, when it comes to progressive music, I’m very easy to please, hahaha. Every Post Rock band that I’ve see in GDL has definitely blown me away, and I’ve seen quite a few here. I first got into Post Rock when I was living in California, my firsts being Caspian in SF, and This Will Destroy You in Fresno, about six years ago. Mono and Wohl in GDL definitely blew me away.
