Bobby 'CullyRed' Cullinen My first visit to the Vancouver Island Musicfest. I was most impressed with the variety of music that was offered from bluegrass to jazz to traditional folk to afro Celt....Adrian Belew offered some stunning instrumentals with basically a power trio....Nancy Griffith gave an hour long performance of some of her more popular songs. She has to this day, one of the sweetest female voices in rock/folk music Vancouver Island Musicfest 2010 Nov 26, 2025
Bobby 'CullyRed' Cullinen I was so helplessly enraptured with this progressive jazz group when I was in college. When Heavy Weather came out, I knew I had to see them, come hell or high water!...The jazz compositions of Wayne, Jaco, and Joe were unparalleled at the time! This was my baptism into JAZZ FUSION! This music could take you into the stratosphere with their songs like, Teen Town, Birdland, Palladium, and Black Market......I was absolutely mesmerized! Weather Report Nov 26, 2025
Bobby 'CullyRed' Cullinen This was one of my first big venue concerts.....My friends and I loved the Stones. We learned a lot of their early blues numbers in our rock band. Songs like: King Bee, Spider & the Fly, Mercy Mercy, and many more. They were a gritty band with attitude and that appealed to young teenage boys. We were pretty close to the stage at this concert......I was especially impressed with Bryan Jones who played multiple instruments. The Rolling Stones Nov 26, 2025

pnoecker I remember his young son came on stage and “danced” from one stiff leg to the other while his dad sang Cats in the Cradle Harry Chapin Nov 26, 2025
Dale Hargis Excellent show. Return to Dust started things out and they were good but very young. They sounded like they came straight out of the early 90's grunge movement. Hopefully they will mature as they get older and move into their own sound. Myles Kennedy came out and played as a trio. I knew Myles could play guitar but his skills and sound were very impressive. He played a lot of songs off his new album, "The Art of Letting Go." I commented to a friend that it was nice of Wolfie to bring him out on the tour and that Myles might have a promising career! :-) Mammoth came out full guns blazing with an awesome video show created by Wayne Joyner. Wolfie and the whole bound sounded incredible and brought a lot of energy to the entire show. "Distance" was an emotional highlight with lots of home videos with EVH that were different from any others I had seen before. I've seen Mammoth five times now and they have finally matured and developed into a true headlining act! Mammoth WVH / Myles Kennedy / Return to Dust Nov 26, 2025

casey davin founder of agnes morhead So I learned on this night that I was not ready for my first performance live on drums since high school. I should have practiced more but so I played drums for Bitchcraft for just that night and I actually pulled it off only barely cuz I got pretty wild as usual opening for the show with my band Agnes Morhead I think I wore a chemical suit with a faxed head mask I bought at a Mr b member garage?sale one morning in lower Haight. Dude was so styling with this little Richard mustache and Hugh Hefner smoking jacket dude was selling all kinds of super cool shit save for the three fulky formed fetuses in in big glass jars. I did not purchase one. In fact someone dropped dime on him and I read about it later in the weekly or bay guardian about it, or it could’ve made the news actually “ I mean it was a rarity to come across something truly shocking in the city back then but this made the grade. But the cops actually found out cuz dude knew I’m sure that there wad no law in San Francisco against sell g human fetuses. But they did take them from him.becer heard if he got them back or not probably did agnes morhead Nov 26, 2025

casey davin founder of agnes morhead So why so little data on this killer place My band played there (Agnes Morhead)! Originally when it was “Paula’s Clubhouse” I Fran love that place man, I don’t remember who we opened for then but I do remember our last show at the kilowatt was us old texas a & m presents oak agnes morhead opening for this really cool band I was truly honored to have been booked with, San Francisco’s The Pale Horse!!! They did the posters for that gig I still have that one I’ll be posting here as soon as possible. (It is in with all my other flyers and show posters sitting in the suitcase right over there) anyways yeah it was a tasty poster of the building from Rosemary’s Baby just that, like rooftop shot with our band fonts overlayed. I was so stoked that night cuz i worked my ass off so hard back then making flyers usually two to three different styles per show!!! I’ve only got like maybe 25 posters left of the 200 or so shows my band olayed from 1991-Aug 1995 when I had to cancel what was our first booking at the Original Stork club in Oakland Ca. I was looking so forward to playing at that country Christmas all the time little dive bar the fkn Residents played at. Yeah I cried when I walked in and cancelled in person for the first and last time. Oh yeah Dale Crover saw us play that night but we didn’t perform our tribute to the Melvin’s titled “Melvin-Morhead’ but he was there my fkn favorite musician at the time!!! So I think the last show i might have seen there was my cousin’s band “Further” anyesrnor so after we got to open for them at @the Brave New World” which yeah that one takes the cake for me but opening form Lagwagon was by far our biggest audience ever! All thanks to me first and the gimmie gimmies Mr Joey joseph Cape also lead singer of The not ever lagging LagWagon!!!! They forced The Berkeley Swuare to let us open cuz we had not been booked since our old guitarist stole weed from booker Bailey…. I mean dude only had the worst of the absolutely worst from weed man I mean I did smoke it at times but would I have even stolen weed???? Hell fkn no!!! Anyways i always really thought that was so solid.I remember they rehearsed at our studio in Oakland days before that epic gig with another cool as fk Bay Area punk rock band TILT!! But yeah the Killowatt was of my favorite clubs of all time in sf along side with Bottom of the Hill, Great American Music Hall but my all time favorite place to see any of my favorite bands of the 80’s to 90’s was the infamous never replaced The Kennel Klub!!! I did play in that stage but only after it became shot I can’t remember what it was after but I think it basically turned into a race dance place maybe but it was rad playing on the same stage as almost all my all time favorite bands and overall shows whoever booked for them I’d love to interview for my book on my days living large?! running wild and kracey , falling in love for the first time on a blind date at the Hotel Casa Loma. Boy I really could and should write that fkn book anybody wanna help me find my bandmates. Oh yeah I also really loved the Chameleon Club alright anybody remember me and my ol young lady friend Lisa Houck and or my favorite girl, a real San Francisco local ms Caterina Dwa… and or Jen-i-prefer Benitez!!! That girl was savage but so fkn cute and unique Kilowatt Nov 26, 2025
Top five: 1) Carelessly 2) Oh Sleepyhead (solo version) 3) Think of me 4) People 5) 500 Miles (cover di J'entends siffler le train) P.S. Una foto sola per la quale dovete ringraziare la tecnica del fotografo, dato che il palco è stato costantemente illuminato per quasi due ore da una luce rossa: la morte per la fotografia da concerto.
