 Kevin Hasslen This was a private show that Adrian and his band put on for us at Ingram Entertainment. We got to meet him after the show and he was such a kind individual.  ChillGill This show was cool for several reasons. My daughter convinced me to go and I had no initial expectations. I knew they were very popular and I recognized many of their hit songs. Then the huge inflatable balls were released and bounced all around the stadium, which was a good surprise. The armbands that glowed and changed colors created wild designs and colorful displays you could probably see from space! Fireworks, music, and then…..out comes Michael J. Fox to play a couple of songs from the Back to the Future movie! I was blown away! He and ColdPlay played Earth Angel and then Johnny B. Goode. It was phenomenal! I left there very impressed.  bruce strickland The first day of rock and roll was opened by christopher cross. next came nazareth . van halen . boston. heart blue oyster cult . started at 2pm on a sunday eve and finished monday moning at 4 am 88,000 screaming mostly coonass fans in the superdome. unbelievable. the next two years they had the 2nd and third days of rock and roll. some of these bands were the eagles,ted nugent, reo speed wagon and many others. i was working in so. la. at the time in the summers before going back to college each fall. 18 years old at the first one at the superdome . went to all three.  Gbauer10 I remember watching the guy stab nimself many times and the the security guards wants no part. Waited until LAPD came. I later read that he is a country music fan and that he didn’t even like The Cure. He wanted to impress a girl and when he looked in the newspaper the biggest event going on was the Cure concert. I was so disturbing that there was just a sense of shock through the crowd. I honestly don’t remember a damn thing about the concert. And I’m pretty sure that the crazy guy DIDN’T get the girl!  Gbauer10 I bought a ticket the morning of the show. Neil had just decided spur of the moment to rehearse a few times and play 5 shows in theater down the Central Vally.
