 CAPO A makeup date for the cancelled Baseball Stadium show in the summer that included Willie Nelson and John Mellencamp but was postponed due to the extreme heat. Only Bob played the makeup show, which was the loudest and rowdyest Dylan show I ever attended due to half the crowd were State Fair goers who wandered in. However, by the time the show rolled around, Traffic was off the bill, presumably because Dave Mason’s second departure ground their tour plans to a halt. By show time, Traffic had been replaced by two acts with less commercial clout, Canadian band the Collectors and rising San Francisco band It’s A Beautiful Day.
