kirkasthemeld Fantastic show. The one and only time I got to see Bowie. He didn't disappoint and was amazing. The highlight of the show for me was the heavily psychedelic "The Supermen" from my favorite album "The Man Who Sold the World". Stereophonics / David Bowie Sep 12, 2019
kirkasthemeld Mitch killed it that night. I was a huge fan at the time. It wasn't too much longer, until he would die of an overdose. Taken way too soon from the world. The highlight of the show, was when he went behind the curtain and pretended to be entertaining a crowd on the other side of the curtain. Mitch Hedberg Sep 12, 2019
kirkasthemeld This was a good show, but I remember wishing that they played the songs the way that they sounded on album. It was highly improvisational and I remember having a hard time telling what songs they were playing. Vida / The Fiery Furnaces / Kirk Rundstrom / Dios Malos Sep 12, 2019
kirkasthemeld Great, wild show at the Jackpot (R.I.P.) The band was as crazy as I imagined that they would be. Loud and psyched out. Acid Mothers Temple Sep 12, 2019
kirkasthemeld Fun show that I went to with my buddy, Austin. I remember the band coming out in Wookie-looking costumes. Super Furry Animals / Caribou Sep 12, 2019
kirkasthemeld I don't recall much about this show, except for the large storm that blew in toward the end. I was way back from the stage and couldn't see real well. I believe I may have also been a little under the influence. The Flaming Lips Sep 12, 2019
kirkasthemeld The one and only time that I got to see Sonic Youth. I was a great show, as anticipated. I had the chance to go backstage and meet the band, but was too nervous to do so. I remember it being LOUD. Sonic Youth Sep 12, 2019
kirkasthemeld I went to this show with my dad. I don't remember too much about it, but it was fun. Blue Heaven studios (the old church, converted into a venue/recording studio) was a neat experience. Blues at the Crossroads Sep 12, 2019
kirkasthemeld This was a fun show. The band had really expanded their stage show by this time, which included alien dancers, confetti canons and other such hilarity. Unfortunately, I missed most of Black Moth Super Rainbow, who opened. Black Moth Super Rainbow / The Flaming Lips Sep 12, 2019
kirkasthemeld I really don't remember much about this show, unfortunately. I do remember thinking that the band was great and had really come into fine form, but I can't remember much else. I imagine that my heavy partying at the time may be the cause. of Montreal / MGMT / Grand Buffet Sep 12, 2019
kirkasthemeld This was a really fun show, but unfortunately I don't remember it too well. I was really drunk, etc. at the show thanks to free drinks at a downtown bar ahead of time. The Breeders Sep 12, 2019
kirkasthemeld This was the last time that I saw the Lips. By this point, they had started to become a bit of a joke. It was shortly after this, that they would fire Kliph for a disagreement over one of Wayne's friends very racist gestures. This, along with Wayne's sudden rock star attitude turned me off of the band, which I still don't listen to to this day. The Dead Weather / The Flaming Lips Sep 12, 2019
kirkasthemeld Fantastic show that I went to with Patti. The band was incredibly tight and the guitar player really impressed me with his fluidity and grace. Blitzen Trapper Sep 12, 2019
kirkasthemeld Amazing show that I went to with my wife, Patti. This was a rare, and amazing opportunity to see a legendary Tropicalia, psychedelic band that had been around since the 60's. They still had it and put on an outstanding show. Os Mutantes Sep 12, 2019
kirkasthemeld This was a great show that I went to with my wife. We were really hyped about St. Vincent at the time and they didn't disappoint. The band did have a few flubs that I noticed, but otherwise sounded great. Annie was as beautiful and enchanting in person as I had imagined she would be. St. Vincent / Novellier Sep 12, 2019
kirkasthemeld Amazing show that I went to with my wife. We had a great time, and Spoon was in fine form that night. They had a cool stage set up with lights and mirrors. So much fun. Spoon / EMA Sep 12, 2019
kirkasthemeld Great show that I went to with my friend, Joshua. The band was great and plays much faster live. The show took place during the World Series, in which the Royals were playing. They won the game (but wouldn't go on to win the series until the following year). The highlight of the show for me, was their cover of "Police Truck" by the Dead Kennedys. Agent Orange Sep 12, 2019
kirkasthemeld This was a great show. Of Montreal started off the night with a hilarious display of over-the-top patriotism, draped in humor. Images of cats in American bandannas, American flags, rednecks, etc. It was great. The show was also great, as they did their best Queenesque performance, laden with flair. of Montreal / Yip Deceiver Sep 12, 2019
kirkasthemeld Beautiful set by Beach House. They were magical. I went with my wife, Patti and we had a great time. Also saw Wayne Coyne there. Unfortunately, in his rock star faze. Beach House Sep 12, 2019
kirkasthemeld Great show by both bands. Violent Femmes were fun and funny. Echo was also great and dark/mysterious, just like you would hope they would be. Beautiful weather night as well, as it was an outdoor venue. Violent Femmes / Echo and the Bunnymen Sep 12, 2019
