Veronica Plaisance I noticed this date/venue was missing from Tesla's tour dates, so I joined just to add it. It was on my 15th birthday, and I promise you it happened. I definitely did not imagine it, lol.. I had a blast, and at the end of the show, Guns n' Rose's was brought out on stage. Does anyone else remember this show? Great White, Tesla, Kix Sep 07, 2019

Jumbo Whew - still recovering from Tuesday's show Thursday morning. So Olivia Jean came on stage about 7:15 to find me and T & B parked in front of Lil' Jack's spot. Really dug the bass player, Jessica Wilkes, who played tight and very sweetly shared her setlist with me. After their set the Racs came out and the pictures from here on out are credited to Third Man Records et al. Won't walk you through the pics, but will talk about some of the songs. Great opening leading to an incredibly poignant You Don't Understand Me. Jack totally engaged with the crowd, and the song ended with Dean taking over the keys riff and Jack crashing out another guitar solo. I love the first record, so it was a real treat to hear them play Hands, Together, and Broken Boy Soldier, none of which they played at THe Anthem. BBS was superb, and segued into a long, blistering version of Blue Veins to close the set. The Encore - are you kidding me????? What can I say, other than that I believe Sunday Driver is one of the top 10 rock/pop songs of at least the last 10 years, if not in a much wider range. I've dropped in Pics of my 91/200 Raleigh Raconteurs poster, which contrasts very nicely with the darker DC poster on my wall. You can see me arm raised in the far side of the closing picture.  Jumbo Wow. I will start out with disclaimers. My last concert was also The Raconteurs, at The Anthem in Washington, DC. I don't think any show will ever top that experience, so my apologies for using that show as a point of reference, but I must. Read the comments on that listing to understand better f you like...DISCLAIMER #2: this will be loooong, already is, so sorry, fair warning.... I will use the pictures as my guide to the story of a GREAT music day. I sat with my friends T & S from Wilmington briefly at the end of the show - they were sitting in the seats I bought in the Vault pre-sale, shown in the first picture My seat was in the GA Pit, and I was first in line. 16 TMR VIP guests got in, and then me. I was alone at the head of the line for several hours, but took some time to walk around and stretch. Ran into Dean Fertitta! He suggested a selfie together when I cursed myself for leaving my sharpie back with the security guard marking my place on line :-0 Found out my selfie camera isn't working, but Dean patiently waited for a passerby to take a snap, disastrous results documented in the pictures, so I took the close-up. Asked him why he wasn't a full-bore "Raconteurs" member. He actually told me! He said that he joined Queens Of The Stone Age as The Raconteurs were forming and his commitments to that project wouldn't allow it. But he added, "You never know what will happen in the future." HOW COOL! So before the aforementioned Anthem show I ran into Lil, Jack. He agreed to take a picture, and though we got it printed right away, I didn't see him again... that day... but here in Raleigh, low and behold, who did I find but Lil' Jack his own self! He politely signed the pic and my Raconteurs Vault issued bandana. He also chatted with and signed for my new friends T & B (not the same T as above), as well as a few other TMR loyalists. (nods to Sh) We are up to pic 7! And I am tuckered out, the note is too long for even me. Part 2 coming soon... The Raconteurs / Olivia Jean Sep 05, 2019
