 niusteve On November 15, 2016 almost 50 years after making her debut as a guest artist, Crystal Gayle was asked to become a member of the Grand Ole Opry by Carrie Underwood. The two performed "Don't It Make My Brown Eyes Blue" before Underwood announced the invitation. Gayle was officially inducted by Loretta Lynn on January 21, 2017.  niusteve Coouldn't have been a better "first" Dead show. Not in the set list but I remembered after a break for a rain storm, they came out and did Here Comes The Sun - Perfect! Also remembered seeing lots of "baggies" being thrown up into the crowd, with the throwers being chased by the cops. Too far away for me to score any of it. Bummer. Still one of my top ten concerts.  Felice + David Silverman Security was super tight coming in - they were trying to make sure nobody brought weed in - there was a huge pile of lighters at the check point. We opened the door to go onto the floor of the HOB and were blasted by the smell of weed and saw a big haze of smoke. Xzibit was high energy and got everyone going, Hollywood Undead had some good stuff, and some dreadful poppy stuff. Cypress Hill were as good as always.
