Ben Connor I was 12 for this concert and a massive U2 fan. My older sisters boyfriend, now husband, was waiting in line for the 4th U2 concert at the Sydney Entertainment Centre and approaching the office when they announced the 5th concert, so he got front row seats. Half way through the performance, bono picked me out of the front row, asked my sister my name, put his sweaty hat on me, put me on his shoulders and sang Pride with the first line changed to ‘One man come by the name of Ben’ My only claim to fame.. Got no photos though. If anyone was at that concert and got photos of me up there I’d love it if u sent them through. U2 / B.B. King / Weddings Parties Anything Jun 11, 2025
Marc Havenner Venue / Capital Centre Event / An evening with Def Leppard The first show by the band in this city since January 1988 on the Hysteria tour. The fourth time at this venue. This show was played at one end of the venue due to weight issues. The arena had been set up for a Washington Capitals ice hockey match. The band would eventually play In The Round here in 1992 with the lighter 'Adrenalize' stage. The venue is located in Landover/Largo which are both described as unincorporated areas/communities rather than towns or cities. Largo is actually 10 miles south east of Landover and 18 miles east of Washington DC. Landover is 9 miles east of Washington DC. like many other venues this one is either described as being in one of two places but is actually within Largo. It was opened in December 1973 and demolished in December 2002 after being closed in 1999 and demolished in December 2002. A show played on US Election night when Bill Clinton was voted into office. Joe announced this before the band played 'Elected' to a non-reaction from the crowd who mostly supported his rival. This moment, 'Let's Get Rocked' and 'Elected' are not featured on the video recording. 'S.M.C.' made a rare return to the setlist. A decent quality audience filmed video exists from this show.  George Orwell Concert in two parts with 20 minute intermission. 4th song of part 2 was “Staircase” (The Harmony Codex), announced by Steven Wilson as a surprise song they “have never played live before”. Also, it was tour musician (guitarist) Randy Mc Stine’s birthday. He got presented a cake on stage. The attending crowd sang a happy birthday. Steven Wilson Jun 10, 2025
NC Rockstar These Raven Skies were not present at this festival. They personally messaged me that they had Visa issues trying to leave Canada. They sent me a free CD b/c they weren't there. We were really looking forward to seeing them. Uproar 2014 Jun 10, 2025

Concerted Fantastic concert with 92,000 attendees. I went to the Friday, 10/09 performance and like Old Time Rocker stated, remember after J. Geils and George Thorogood played, by the time Prince came on, the crowd wanted the Stones, not some unknown, effeminately dressed, strange character that wasn't playing rock & roll, so started booing and throwing things at them until they left. A rather inauspicious beginning for what I assume to be Prince's first shot at the big time, outside of Minnesota. I also remember folks openly hawking various drugs, like cocaine, weed and acid and ecstasy by yelling the names of the drugs as loud as they could, iike hotdogs and peanuts being hawked at a baseball game, while roaming the crowd, and the cops not interfering.
