BALLISTICATOR X 1995 I had a good friend at Goldenvoice that would hook me up with All Access to any show. I knew Bad Brains were coming soon but it slipped my mind. My bass player called me and asked "hey Bro, do you think we can go to the Bad Brains show?" I had taken him to shows before but it wasn't like him to "ASK" to go to a show. I paused, thought to myself, this must really be a show he wants to see and I said "sure man, let's double date and take the chicks". He was stoked! We get there, go to will call, see my friend and we get our passes. I roll in the side door of the Palladium like usually chick's in tow saying hi to security that I know and proceed backstage. I head directly for the stage, sit on a road case, open my legs to roll up the "KIND" fatty between them and dude is pie eyed like "what are you doing!?!?" Before he can say anything Darryl Jennifer smells the KILL, walks over while warming up and says "Hey Bro, can I hit that when you're finish rolling?" MY bass player is losing it and I say "sure man, I'll let you know". I finish, fire it up and wave him over and he & I power hit that puppy until it was roached. Darryl said "thank you Brother I needed that", hugged & kept warming up. My bass player was in a surreal daze that he was on stage, watched me roll a fatty like it was nothing, smoked hard with Darryl and was about to watch the show standing 10' from Darryl. Absolutely a great night for all of us INCLUDING Darryl who kept looking back smiling at me during the show. Fond memories Bad Brains May 21, 2025

Degopsu I was there with my sister and my niece. I am not sure why they have Pittsburgh listed as the city as it was on the campus of Penn State in State College, PA. The technical name for the location of Rec Hall is University Park but everyone calls it State College and/or Happy Valley. At least it was when I went to school there. lol I lost my sister in 2007 but definitely glad that I had this memory with her and her oldest daughter. I was but a teen at the time and my niece was 8 years old. But we tried to get as close to the front as possible. I wish I had pics but it lives in my memory and heart. Saw Cyndi again out here in L.A. as she opened for Cher. It was in June, Pride Month and she missed our event by a week. But after singing True Colors, she wrapped herself in a Pride flag and when I say that the roar in Staples Center was deafening, I am NOT kidding. I have seen many concerts there and never heard the place as loud as it was at that moment. She raised a fist and head bowed as the place erupted for at least 2 minutes of intense cheering. Emotional to say the least. Always an ally and we let her know that the LA LGBTQ community loved her back. I think windows broke in nearby businesses. lol I almost felt bad for Cher because the insane applause for Cyndi was CLEARLY much louder and insane than for Cher. It was Cher's farewell tour (well, the first of many apparently) and you would think that SHE would have had this crazy audience reaction. Nope, Cyndi nailed that and I have only heard something remotely as close 2 other times. Madonna and a recent Kylie Minogue tour were also crazy. Butin all fairness and honesty, Cyndi has the loudest in Staples, at least. Madonna everywhere else takes the title because those concerts are so insanely amazing that even timid fans are screaming at the end. Anyway, tangents and rants. My bad. But the city is State College, PA. lol Cyndi Lauper May 21, 2025

Jack the Mack I was there, great show, but Townsend gave up the electric guitar and let Simon do the honors, which we hated. It was also a large production, similar to 1996, and some other theatrical shows. My memory of the 1982 show was more satisfying. After all this was a Sunday and had to work the next day ( things changed in 7 years) I had two new guys with me to see the show and it was more sedate, we had a few beers and some hoagies, or Hero Sandwich or Grinder for you out of the area fans. I personally loved the Who scaled back with just the four of them and Townsend on lead but this was a good show and the set list was excellent/ The Who May 20, 2025
