Brucefan24 Springsteen (along with several members of the Sessions tour band) take in a show by Lucinda Williams and her band. Near the end of the show Bruce took the stage and provided guest rhythm-lead guitar on extended workouts of two songs (each in its first Springsteen performance).  Georges A. Gauthier I don’t like a karaoke show. If a musician is alone on stage and hits a button for a backing track, they have to go to great lengths to impress. Cindy Lee did not. There is a Twin Peaks, Julie Cruz vibe about them first. A mystic which quickly fades as the Pre-recorded tracks underwhelm and Flegel just sits or stands there, static and lifeless. There is no effort to perform. There is no charisma, no stage presence nor banter. Even Flegel’s handling of their guitar seems awkward and unpracticed. Add to that a poor mix and you don’t even enjoy the music that much. Certain concert experiences elevate an album. Diamond Jubilee was one of my favourite albums of 2014. I fear that terrible performance has tarnished it forever. Cindy Lee / Freak Heat Waves Nov 11, 2025
