 Blues-Lover Wow wow wow! Super show last night. Maurice sounded amazing and Margaret was great. What an incredible voice she has. Love the tribute to Patsy Cline and all the songs.  JG Muller Programmé en festival un dimanche à 19h dans un salle à gradin trop grande dans un lieu culturel sans bar ni espace convivial, devant un public âgé ne le connaissant pas, le groupe de Joël Ross a démontré sa qualité mais n’a pas réussi à allumer la flamme. Après une intro lamentable démontrant l’ignorance ou le peu d’intérêt de programmateurs amateurs de jazz plus convenu, le concert démarre pas un très beau solo au vibraphone avec de suivre par un enchaînement de compos de 45 minutes, dont certains moment m’ont donné l’impression que les musiciens étaient en pilotage automatique et n’interagissaient pas forcément, chacun concentré sur son tapis roulant. De beaux passage toutefois, surtout vers la fin. A revoir dans de meilleures conditions. Joel Ross Good Vibes May 11, 2026
 JG Muller Excellente prestation en quatuor. Nous étions très près de la scène et nous pouvions apprécier la physicalité du jeu des musiciens, en particulier celui de Makaya. Il est d’une précision et d’une puissance assez fascinantes, tout en luttant contre une sudation abondante. Marquis Hill se la joue mystérieux à la Damso, pas très démonstratif, attaquant par en-dessous mais imposant sa force tranquille. Junius Paul à la basse électrique ressemble à un farfadet rêveur, avec ses bottes, ses collants et sa capuche et enfin Mike King, au piano, est peut-être le rookie de la bande, cherchant du regard l’assentiment de ses collègues mais assurant déjà brillamment ses parties. McCraven intercale quelques speeches appelant à la paix et l’union, obtenant même par son charisme une petite minute de silence sans vraiment la demander (cela doit procurer un sentiment de puissance jubilatoire).
