This concert definitely did not take place at Tampa Stadium, considering that it was torn down in 1999 to build the new Raymond James Stadium.

I drove to Wheaton, Illinois the day before to my friend's (Stu) house where I spent the next 2 nights. We met up with his friend, Jay, The day of show, we got a later start than we should have, spent way too much time in line to get into the parking lot, and wandered into an almost full Soldier Field before sundown. An airplane flew low overhead with a scrolling message across the wings on the bottom "Pink Floyd Welcomes You". The plane then dropped weighted "sheep" that floated down to the audience.

Interesting to note that the cost of my ticket to this concert was $10.50. At the time I was 23 and just starting out after college. My pay was about $5 per hour. That was two bands, both of which had charted hits at the time. Heck of a good value when compared to current costs just to see band.
