Simpsons_Head When I walked in people were wearing cheap green crowns that said “The King of Having Fun.” I needed one and checked at the merch table. “Ya, have to make a purchase to get one,” said the jaded merch man. “I promise I’m planning to buy a record on the way out,” I pleaded pathetically. “Okay fine. I’ll remember your face.” It barely fit on my head as I have a Sputnik sized head, Bella was good but I couldn’t relate to her songs. That’s a me problem as I’m an old fart. As for old farts, I was one of three in there over 60, one of which was my wife, who I like dragging to artists she knows nothing about. Young crowd. Younger than even Japanese Breakfast. I have never seen Medium Build before as this was his first time in Madison. This guy is a legend. I knew his songs pretty well but couldn’t sing along with the crowd as you stop remembering lyrics past 35, just so you know. Nicholas is a master entertainer. He spazes around during songs and amps up the crowd. He had a special surprise guest on stage that made half the crowd go awww. Between sets he has literally the best banter of any singer ever. Loved. Loved. Loved this show, as did my wife. We could become groupies. I did buy the Country vinyl and got my wife a shirt. Medium Build / Bella White Oct 20, 2026

claytron Blues Explosion were running into technical difficulties during this show. I think the microphone didn't work the whole time, so he was just shouting into the crowd best he could. Still a great show despite the problems! The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion / Crushed Out Oct 20, 2026
