 Rick Monihan Something is clearly missing. The location of America is 1979, probably after August 1979. Place is PA, likely Scranton OR Wilkes Barre. I know 100% there was a concert of America - I SAW IT WITH 3 OTHER PEOPLE. We don't remember warm up, but we THINK it was Pure Prairie League with Amie, What You Gonna do. But it could have been Nitty Gritty - we just aren't sure, we thing PPL was the correct partner. We cannot find this concert ANYWHERE! But WE KNOW IT HAPPENED in 1979.  Walter Winsor One of the best days of my life! I went down to McNichols Arena in the afternoon and hung around the tour bus. I met a roadie from England and he invited me on the bus for a beer and I shared a doobie with him. We joked and told stories and got on well enough for him to offer to put me on the guest list for a ticket upgrade and backstage pass. 100% true story. I got to the show, went to will call and there it was- I still have the pass. I waited in the hall outside the stairs to the stage and when they came out, I was able to get Jimmy Page's autograph.  Walter Winsor The afternoon before the concert, Steve gave a guitar seminar at Rupp's Drums store in Denver. He played songs and answered questions. It was really cool because some of the guitarists in the small crowd asked him to show his tricks and he would play some runs in quarter speed, half speed and then full speed.
