 MS2171-jp That night, Robin Zander & Rick Nielsen from Cheap Trick stopped in, after opening for Foghat at the War Memorial. They were in good spirits and liked the band, with Rick standing next to Duane as he mixed sound. Every time there was feedback, he would yell, “Fire Duane!!” They came into the dressing room before the encore, and Rick went right up to Dale, saying, “You’re a star!” He offered to come onstage to play the Gloria encore and, afterwards, Rick placed Dale's guitar up in the pipes in the open ceiling.
