Rocdsan My wife and I were there, was outside working in the yard, listening to the radio. They announced Hall and Oates were going to be a Tips that night. We went up and purchased tickets at the door. Great concert, my wife wound up making her way close to the stage. If I remember right, they were in Houston and decided to come to New Orleans on a whim. Daryl Hall & John Oates Apr 11, 2024
Brian Calderone Super Sunday Concert. I think it was 18 hrs. Our seats were same level as stage and just too close. The Who reportedly raddled windows [5] miles away. ... I lost my hearing for 3 days. .... During John Mellancamp's 1st set, we were bouncing beach balls around. ... Minimumal security, in those days, so, lots of partying. .... ah, Freedom ... Decades before Denver went Woke. The WHO / Jethro Tull / John Mellencamp Apr 11, 2024
Lane Denson I'm 95% certain Taj Mahal opened, not Pete Droge. Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers / Pete Droge Apr 11, 2024

Angela Jerrell One of the best concerts I have ever seen. Just prime stuff from everyone onstage. I know bands can have their picks of songs but this was to celebrate Maynard and I feel like it was a little peek into his thoughts about his own music and what he loves from each band. It felt deeply personal and they all played and meshed well on stage. To see three sets of drummers playing together on the same stage was spectacular! And Puddles singing Judith was an insanely good take on it. Primus / A Perfect Circle / Puscifer Apr 11, 2024
Meromictic I think only 3 bands at most performed - I think one of these bands canceled. Biffy Clyro was definitely there though. Queens of the Stone Age / The Black Angels / Circa Survive / Biffy Clyro Apr 10, 2024

Deblib Comment submitted on an alternate site: “That is actually incorrect. Palmer Auditorium was torn down in 2015. The last rock concert there was on February 9, 1986 with Bush and the Goo Goo Dolls. The first rock concert at Palmer was on May 24, 1973 with Rare Earth.” Foghat Apr 10, 2024

Scott Knick It was at this show that Loïc (the singer) tried to stick the mic in a cute girl's face who was standing right up front to see if she would scream some of the words and she just froze. Loïc gave her a big thumbs-down right in her face. The Ocean / Der Weg Einer Freiheit Apr 10, 2024
Scott Knick If my memory serves correctly, this is also a show where The Ocean had to perform their material without the singer as he had broken a leg or done something similar. The Ocean / Intronaut / Red Fang Apr 10, 2024
